“Day at the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens”
Boothbay
Senators and guests will meet at the Visitor’s Center at 11AM
and enjoy a picnic lunch, family style
(Bring beverages, salads, sandwiches, and/or desserts to share)
Tickets are free for garden members, $10 for adults, or $8 for seniors (65 and older).
If we pre-book a group of 10 or more, the price drops to $7/person!

This 248 acres oasis on the Maine Coast is a must-see destination, with its spectacular gardens, native wildflowers, pristine forest, and tranquil water views (Check out their website at www.mainegardens.org). Visitors stroll along the Central Garden’s paths or explore a bit further along the myriad of trails to the “Fairy Village” or Meditation Garden. Limited shuttle service is available.

Directions
From southern Maine: Follow signs to the Boothbay region. Soon after crossing the Wiscasset Bridge on Route 1 North, turn right onto Route 27 South towards Boothbay. After 9.3 miles, bear right at the Boothbay monument, across from the town common and gazebo. Go straight at the stop sign immediately ahead. After 0.25 miles, turn right onto Barters Island Road. The entrance to the Gardens is about 1 mile ahead, on the left.
From Down East: Continue on Route 1 through Camden, Waldoboro and Newcastle. In Edgecomb, turn left onto Route 27 South towards Boothbay. Follow the directions above.
