HALL, James A. 65 of Urbana, passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2008 in the Ohio State University Medical Center Columbus, Ohio.

He was born August 25, 1942 in Middletown, Ohio. James graduated from Urbana High School in 1960. He was the current owner and C.E.O. of the Hall Company, which his father, started in 1958.

He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Urbana, National and Ohio Past President of the J.C.I. Senate, a lifetime member of the Junior Chamber of Commerce, Past President of the Urbana School Board, Past President of the Lions Club, Past President of the Tecumseh Council Boy Scouts of America and received the Silver Beaver Award. He was a member of the Harmony Lodge # 8 F & AM Antioch Shrine and the Caroline Chapter #39 O.E.S. James enjoyed traveling & reading and he was an avid OSU fan.

He is survived by his wife, Carol (Watkins) Hall, his son, Kyle Hall, his daughter, Megan (Todd) Mefford, his mother, Mary Frances (Shoemaker) Hall, his father, William D. (Dottie) Hall, his mother & father-in-law, Ruth & Ted Sherick, his brother, William D. (Carol) Hall Jr., his sister, Sally Hall, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Monday, June 2, 2008 in the Vernon Funeral Home, Urbana. Memorial services will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 2 in the funeral home with Rev. Dr. Kevin Horrigan officiating. In James memory a Memorial Scholarship Fund will be set up. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.

The JAYCEES Continue To HONOR O-U-R HEROES
Sgt. Shane Padriag Duffy
 
DUFFY, SGT. SHANE PADRIAG, of Taunton, MA, husband of Jamie L. (Plamondon) Duffy, killed in action in Iraq on June 4th at the age of 22.

Born in Pawtucket, RI, he was the son of Keavin P. and Frances E. (Duffy) Duffy. A 2003 graduate of Taunton High School, he served in the U.S. Army for the past 4 years.

Besides his wife of Taunton, (formerly N. Providence) and parents of Taunton, he is survived by his daughter, Mackenzie Roisine Duffy; a brother Keavin P. Duffy, Jr.; 2 sisters, Kelsey Ann Duffy and Shanon Elizabeth Duffy, all of Taunton; his paternal grandmother, Rita Duffy of Taunton; his maternal grandmother, Margaret Duffy of Seekonk and several aunts and uncles. He was also the grandson of the late James H. Duffy, Jr. and Leo A. Duffy, Sr.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Church, 14 St. Mary's Square, Taunton on Saturday, June 14th at 11 a.m. followed by burial at St. Francis Cemetery, North Walker St., Taunton. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling Hours will be held on Friday, June 13th from 1 to 8 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Sgt. Shane Duffy Memorial Fund, Taunton Federal Credit Union, 14 Church Green, Taunton, MA 02780.
