JAYCEE COMMUNITY CULTURAL CIVIC AWARD
EXAMPLES OF CRITERIA TO BE USED MAY INCLUDE:
1. INDIVIDUAL ETHNIC ACHIEVEMENT & COMMUNITY COMMITMENT
To be presented to an individual, (group) or couple who has:
-
demonstrated dedication and commitment to an ethnic cause, issue and/or celebration, that promotes the traditions and values of such heritage, which benefits a large sector of societal awareness and cultural appreciation
· fostered positive intergroup relations among persons of different races, ages, ethnic origin, gender, religious backgrounds, or physical and mental abilities for the betterment of society
· indicates a loyal and consistent level of volunteer service to an ethnic, religious or cultural cause(s) that merits special consideration in the community

1) Affiliated with an ethnic church, organization(s) and/or social club, civic groups
2) Nominated from a reputable and recognized religious, cultural organization or individual(s) who supports or substantiates the nominees contributions
3) Have defined and documented societal, volunteer and/or personal contributions as a member of an ethnic entity
Additional relevant information; e.g., letters of support, newspaper clippings, photographs, etc. may be submitted with the application form.
